Burdette Ketchum Pockets Win as Predator Cues and Poison Billiards’ agency of record
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Burdette Ketchum, a Jacksonville-based marketing consulting and communications firm, racks up a new client with premium billiards brands Predator Cues and Poison Billiards. Predator Group, an international pool cue producer, selected Burdette Ketchum as its agency of record to build further brand awareness, increase market share among billiards enthusiasts and create greater excitement across the company’s worldwide dealer base.
“We look forward to working with Predator Group in transforming recreational and professional pool players and billiards dealers into Predator and Poison brand advocates,” said Will Ketchum, Burdette Ketchum principal and director of brand architecture and message strategy.
Predator Group’s brands include Predator Cues, Poison Billiards and Uni-Loc®, which are sold in 26 countries around the world. Predator has become the brand of choice for more than half of the world’s top touring professionals. More of the world’s top players trust their games to Predator cues and shafts than any other brand on the market. Poison pool cues, geared to the recreational pool player, combine high-performance engineering with cutting-edge design options that reflect players’ personalities.
"Burdette Ketchum’s focus on delivering ‘handcrafted answers’ mirrors our own passion for creating intricately detailed product offerings that really connect with our customers and the broader playing community,” said Karim Belhaj, president and CEO of Predator Group. “We found in them a partner that understands our brands and delivers the right blend of analysis, insight and creativity. We believe they will help us develop and execute effective strategies for our markets and the economic times we live in.”
Burdette Ketchum will provide Predator Group with comprehensive marketing and integrated communications, including dealer and channel marketing strategy, brand development, media relations, creative and Web design, advertising and collateral development. Burdette Ketchum’s experience with sporting goods brands and channel marketing was a key factor in Predator Group’s decision to partner with the agency.
“We will apply our combined expertise with recreational brands and multi-channel marketing to take Predator Group’s brands to the next level,” said Andy Dykstra, Burdette Ketchum principal and director of marketing strategy and activation. “Our integrated team will develop relevant positioning strategies based on the consumer segmentation of the billiards category and the diverse distribution channel possibilities.”
