Burdette Ketchum adds business development director

Jacksonville native Charles Chunn hired to continue marketing firm’s growth opportunities

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Burdette Ketchum, a Jacksonville-based marketing consulting and communications firm, hired Charles Chunn as business development director. Chunn will identify and engage with potential new clients, manage the firm’s targeted industries growth initiative and develop agency responses to requests for proposal (RFPs) – a traditional means of agency selection – for all areas of the firm’s marketing services.

“Our agency has reached a level of growth that requires a position dedicated to proactively pursuing and responding to business development opportunities,” said Karen Burdette, Burdette Ketchum founder and CEO. “Charles’ experience in media sales and developing long-term business relationships with global brands, as well as his understanding of the local market, made him a natural choice.”

Prior to joining Burdette Ketchum, Chunn worked in advertising sales development for Turner Broadcasting System’s Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and CNN brands in both Atlanta and New York City. While working with the Turner family of brands, Chunn was responsible for planning and maintaining more than $70 million in advertising revenue.

Chunn graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. A Jacksonville native, Chunn also is a graduate of Episcopal High School. He and his wife, Kelli, reside in Jacksonville’s Ortega neighborhood.

Companies interested in working with Burdette Ketchum can contact Chunn directly at cchunn@burdetteketchum.com.
